Update in medicine – Newcastle 2024

The programme is being developed by regional advisers in the Northern region and will be available to download at a later date. The day is worth 6 CPD credits.

Topics will include:

• The changing landscape of Parkinson's disease
• Presentation and management of rheumatology patients in AMU
• Outpatient management of cirrhosis
• Treatment options for type-2 diabetes
• My heart is racing: palpitations for the acute physician

As well as hearing from leading physicians across the medical specialties, you can participate in Q&A sessions and enjoy the opportunity to network with senior RCP officers and with your peers.

About the event

RCP Update in medicine conferences are held across the UK and are delivered by the RCP regional team. These events are designed to provide high-quality education and allow attendees to stay abreast of clinical advancements in medicine, develop professional skills and network with colleagues.

This is a full-day conference – registration will open from 8–9am. Refreshments and lunch are provided. We expect the event to finish at 5pm approx.

Please note, this is a face-to-face event. We do not provide online access for this series of events.

Who should attend?

Physicians and allied health professionals at all levels and across all medical specialties are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

You do not have to be an RCP subscribing member to attend this event, but you may wish to consider becoming a member and benefiting from discounted registration fees.
