The Royal College of Physicans has appointed Dr John Dean as the clinical lead of its new QI Hub. Dr Dean is deputy medical director (Transformation) at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, where he works across the health economy leading service improvement.
The RCP’s Quality Improvement Hub will provide an infrastructure to support the development of training and education in quality improvement across a range of disciplines, including training courses, educational tools and a resource bank of information about QI.
Discussing the appointment, Dr Dean said:
I am delighted to be appointed as clinical lead for the RCP’s QI Hub. The RCP is uniquely placed to enable significant improvements in clinical care through its functions, members, fellows and alliances. The QI Hub will connect, support and develop them for maximum impact.
